Halloween Drive Thru 2020

This year because of COVID-19, the fairgrounds in the area organized a drive-thru version of trick or treating for all to visit safely.

With each $15 ticket per car (no matter the size), it came with a trick or treat bag that we held outside the car window.

As we weaved around the decorated parking lot, different booths would fill the bag with popcorn, candied apples, cotton candy, mini donuts and assorted candies and chocolate bars!

Performers on stilts and costumes came by to wish us a Happy Halloween, so we all waved back.

At the end of the drive thru, we were asked if we wanted to drive to the food trucks. As a part of supporting the local economy and our stomachs, we ordered a hurricane potato, some tempura prawns and sandwiches!

In order to fit more little ones, we rented a van and decorated it with some “killer decorations”.

Now, that’s how we were able to stay safe and have fun too!

  1. What a great idea! The kids get to enjoy Halloween but you also stay safe. My compliments to the organisers.
