Art Inspiration: Naruto, The Anime

During this Covid-19 pandemic, I finally had the opportunities to really sit back and enjoy some anime.

The term anime is derived from the English word animation, and in Japan is used to refer to all forms of animated media. Outside Japan, the term refers specifically to animation from Japan or to a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastical themes.“— Wikipedia

One anime that I watched was the Naruto series.

“Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village.“—-Wikipedia

Feeling inspired, I began to draw some of my favourite characters from the show.

Have you ever watched anime? If yes, which one?

  1. I’ve watched so much anime! It’s hard to make a list. But some of my favourites are Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon, and Demon Slayer! Naruto was one of the first anime shows I ever watched along with Cardcaptor Sakura and Trigun.

  2. I’ve recently started Re-watching Naruto as well, what a coincidence! Very nostalgic.

By the way choco, the second character you draw is called Itachi, not Ichigo! 😀 little mistake ahah anyway these are cute drawings.

  3. You are really good at drawing, I can be when I try. I don’t watch a lot of anime. My mom is REALLY overprotective. My friends watch a lot of anime, and they try to tell me about it but they forget a lot of parts. I have watched Sword Art Online though, that is a good one!
