Another Obstacle on Social Media: My Twitter Account Got Suspended

After 8 long years, my account got suspended. As I read through their lists of probable reasons for my suspension, I could not figure it out.

Just like Pinterest, there was no warning. I was shocked. I was using Twitter to meet and learn from likeminded bloggers. I got to explore their blog posts and would retweet them as a way of showing appreciation.

Throughout the day, I searched up many articles about bloggers in the same situation. No one could figure out why they got suspended either.

Quickly, I applied for an appeal to reverse my suspension. So, I can only just wait patiently for their response.

Wish me good luck!

  1. Better check if someone hacked into your account, got your password and started spreading out censorable tweets from your account. i wonder i you need a software tech support to do a cleaning of your computer and to find out if you had a virus inside. Just a thought. Hoping for the best for you.

  2. Twitter has new rules and any comment that remotely could sound threatening, harmful, even when it isn’t really, may invoke Twitter animosity. Yet they allow lots of hate speech against my tribe and myself. Hypocrites. I don’t trust the moral guardianship of A over B.

  3. Good luck with that! I have only seen when people are reported for saying inappropriate things and I know that isn’t you. Maybe they have you messed up with a similar name? I hope it is rectified soon. xo

  4. MeWe is an alternative social media that’s very user friendly and not nearly as invasive as far as data is concerned. Plus you have to actually do something pretty bad to get suspended. It free speech friendly so that means you’re probably going to see something offencive but if a person becomes a problem you can simply block them or just hide their posts from your feed. The downside is that it’s a new platform and has low traffic but that will change as more people are fed up with the big platforms.

  5. I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with a suspension. I’ve seen a lot of people on Twitter talking about being put in “Twitter jail” lately. Since some of them are Tweeting about it, I guess that’s probably not the same thing as having your account suspended, but it’s weird how often it’s happening. Most of them seem to blame getting to 5,000 followers for their situation, which is a strange reason to lock down someone’s account.

I actually got temporarily blocked the first day I logged in because I guess I didn’t get my account fully set up and that made them suspicious. Or maybe because I didn’t follow anyone right away? I’m still not sure. 🤔

  6. I’m so sorry, this happened to me as well, I have an article about it on my site.

It’s not a good feeling to put your time and energy into creating an account only to have it suspended.

I hope you get your account back, peace and blessings.

  7. I got a new account suspended just when I created it when I followed too many people at once. Maybe you followed or liked or retweeted too many times in a short space of time? I hope your application to get unsuspended works out. Good luck with it ❤ 🙂

      1. I’m not sure why it got flagged, unless it’s somebody trying to complain about you to twitter though I don’t know why anyone would do that. Whatever the reason I hope you get it resolved soon ❤ Twitter took more than a week to get back to me so don't feel disheartened if they haven't responded yet 🙂
