Inspired by Art: Blooming Beside the Water, A Paint Nite Creation

“Blooming Beside the Water” was created during a “Paint Nite” session a few years back. I was starting to get back into painting after many years.

I love to paint, but painting requires a collection of supplies and space, but most importantly, time. Creating art is considered a luxury and a pricey habit in the eyes of many…

As a mom of two, my extra time was suppose to be dedicated to the care of the house and home. My creative and artistic side was being stifled and I had to turn to art projects at their school to express myself. Working on social media also helped me to release some steam.

However, it was not enough to allow me to fully let myself go….. Hence, “Paint Nite” parties were my way to create my own masterpiece. Even though we were suppose to follow the sample art work by the leader, I was still able to change some of the aspects of my painting.

Do you have some creative works that you have done, but have forgotten about? I have decide to share with others what I have been creating through these years….

P.S. I love Bob Ross!!!

  1. Those painting classes can be a great way to ease into art! My city has a Pinot’s Palette, which has a similar setup. Your painting has a nice theme. Calm waters and flowers (or other plants) are one of my favorite combos. I painted a puppy at my city’s counterpart in February 🙂

  3. I did a paint nite event about two years ago! It was so much fun! My painting is hanging on the wall. I definitely want to do it again.

  4. This is beautiful and so vibrant! 😍 I know what you mean about feeling stifled when you’re not able to make time for creating art. You feel like something vital in your life is missing. So happy you’ve been able to reconnect with that part of you, Chocoviv! Oh and I LOVE BOB ROSS TOO!!! Is it just me, or does he have this ability to put people to sleep?? It’s like watching a lullaby become a painting! haha!! 😄
