7 Facts of Chocoviv

Yes, I love chocolate…..

1. I just started my personal lifestyle blog in June, about 3 months ago.

2. I used to write a lot of poetry as a teenager. It helped with my frustrations and broken heart.

3. I took ballet lessons for over a decade. I wasn’t looking to become a ballerina, just for the performances.

4. I fight negativity with positivity.

Stress and anxiety has always been my sidekick as a young child. I learned at a very young age that I am the only one in the world who can fight my own battles. Constantly being told that I was overly sensitive and emotional, taught me to hide my negative feelings and look hard to look for the silver lining in every situation. I have fought many emotional bullies in my life. Sadly, sometimes these are actually friend-enemies. Looking at my social media profiles, one won’t be able to tell that I putting up a good fight each day.

5. I love to shop.

Growing up, my family wasn’t very well-off. I learned to earn and save money at a very young age. However, I have always loved pretty and luxurious things. So, I learned to DIY almost everything, from hair colouring, nails to clothes. Shopping frugally became a passion. Looking for deals for my friends and family was a game for me. I get such rush when I am able to get something for a lower price than everyone else. It’s about shopping smart!

6. I am an artist.

I love art. I love to make art. I find joy in painting on canvas, sketching on a piece of paper, making collages and on just about anything that I can express myself. For many years, as an adult, I was forced to put that passion aside as it wasn’t practical or making a lot of money. It was until the birth of my children, where my love of art helped us to communicate and connect with each other.

While camping, I grabbed some rocks and let the children paint away…

7. I am not perfect.

No one is…I am a messy person. “Organized and creative chaos” was what I named it for many years. Others have laughed and ridiculed me for it. They say that I am a bad example of a parent. (Mom-shaming seems to be something that a lot of people love to do these days.)

However, I am honest about this with the children. I tell them that I am trying my very best. Most importantly, I appreciate that they also are working with me to keep things in a tidier way.
