Limitless: Tour with Shin Lim and Colin Cloud

I love magic shows! As a child, I had a magic play set. I spent hours playing and trying to learn the simple little tricks in the manual. Of course, it was all for fun. And no, I wasn’t very good at it. However, I never stopped being mesmerized and intrigued by magic.

Tonight’s magic show featured Shin Lim and Colin Cloud. Shin Lim is from Vancouver, British Columbia. He got his fame from winning on America’s Got Talent. He told us that he was a pianist who developed carpal tunnel syndrome. He discovered magic to help strengthen his wrist.

Shin Lim’s slight-of-hand tricks were amazing! Audiences got to watch his tricks up-close as the cameraman zoomed in to allow us watch on the big screens behind and above him. I bet the audiences that were invited up stage must have been completely shocked. We, the rest of the audience, also got to partake in a special trick in our seats.

Mind blown….Colin Cloud blew our minds! Literally…. Colin Cloud, aka Colin McLeod, was once studying forensic investigation and criminal profiling then switched into entertainment instead. The whole audience was involved quite a few of his acts. I really enjoyed his humorous nature and comedic ambience. I was roaring with laughter and so was everyone else around me!

As promised, there are no spoilers about the show. Except one, we all got to take a piece of a couple of the acts home…..

When did you last watch a magic show?

  1. I’ve never been to a magic show before. But I’ve seen both of these guys on Americas Got Talent and I loved them both! I would love to go to one of their shows.

  2. I was never at a proper magic show, I was never a huge fan of those. What I do enjoy is more of the Mentalist type of magic shows. They always leave me intrigued and a little freaked out. Last time I have been to one was a couple of years ago, but the one you went to sounds like loads of fun:)

  3. I used to go to VA Beach with my family each year, and the same magician has been there for years. We have seen so many of his tricks so many times that we could probably perform them at this point. But there’s still something about magic shows that holds my interest, even if I learn the secret behind the trick. This guy that you saw sounds like he was a good one.

  5. It sounds like you had a great time – I’m glad! I do enjoy magic, actually – my absolute favourite is Derren Brown. I’ve been to his last three tours and would definitely recommend seeing him live if he’s ever near you…
