“In the end, perfection should be about making peace with your imperfections on the way to doing something that is good enough or maybe surprisingly amazing.”- Do What You Love @CPFalcone
Thank you, Do What You Love for this nomination of the Blogger Recognition Award! I have to say, her recent post about being a “selective perfectionist” completely sounds like me too! To be honest, I am a more spontaneous person that enjoys the realism of life. Ironically, the world around us has forced this part of me underground. Some criticizes me of “not caring enough” or “not writing perfectly”. I learned to hide my writings and my creativity because of all the negativity around me.
This is why I started my blog- I needed to be free…I want to write what I want and I express however I wanted!
Two Pieces of Advice to New Bloggers:
• Grow your writing community tribe: Look for other writers out there in Twitter, who are generally very supportive.
• Don’t be hurt by family and close friends: Those are usually least likely to show any support for your work. Yes, this sounds sad, but don’t be surprised.
I have met so many wonderful and talented folks and here are my nominations:
1)Davis-Everything Starts With Tea @eswtea
2)The Wellbeing Blogger @TheWBlogger
3)Cara Jones @zenspiredblog
4)Lloyd Stevens @LloydStevens29
5) Mama Is A Shark @momof2happas
6)A Finn On the Loose @afinnontheloose
7)Frantasmagoria @frantasmagoria1
8)Colleen @colleeenblogs
9)Shina Reynolds @shinareynolds
10)Telia Teanna @teliateanna
If the nominees wish to participate, here are the rules:
Rule 1.- Write a post to show your award.
Rule 2.- Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you.
Rule 3.- Give a brief story of why you started your blog.
Rule 4.- Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers.
Rule 5.- Nominate 10 bloggers who deserve the award.
Can’t wait to see your responses!
Congratulations on your award sweet girl! 💕

Great nominee choices!
I also agree with your family and friends tip. I receive the least amount of support from them.
So glad for the Twitter community!

Family are the worst! It took me years to distance myself from a toxic family member, but things have been much better since I was able to make that break!
Congrats on the nomination :o)

Yes, closest people are our least likely supporters.

Oh God that sounds rough. I’m sorry that your loved ones aren’t as involved as you’d like…maybe try asking your family to give you a helping hand more?

Sadly, they don’t understand how challenging blogging is and don’t take it seriously…

Aww. That’s how it is with technology, huh? Some generations just don’t understand how serious it can be sometimes. I’m glad you’re not taking it too personally and are focusing your energy on people who truly appreciate your blog!

“I need to be free and express however I wanted” I like that. Very good intentions to have when it comes to blogging. I believe you need to stick to your roots.
